Footlights Youth Drama has been providing young people in the Dungannon area with skills in acting, dance and singing for over thirty years, as well as a platform for performance within these disciplines.
We provide weekly classes throughout the year, giving your child the opportunity to express themselves creatively, meet new friends, socialise and learn in a fun environment.
Each week we deliver drama games and exercises to give them the confidence and skills to perform. We build towards a theatre performance towards the end of the school year where they can show what they've learned.
Every week there will be games and fun activities, singing, dancing and acting. No matter where your child's talents and interests lie, they will be nurtured at Footlights.
We currently have places available in our weekly classes for 9 - 12 year olds beginning 14th September.
Classes run from 4.30pm - 5.45pm and 5.45pm - 7.00pm, Wednesday and Thursday evenings throughout the year at Gardiner's Hall, 1 Victoria Road, Dungannon, BT71 6AA.
For the Summer Scheme this year we brought back our 'Show in a Week' project with our 9 - 12 year old class. Many of these young thespians were treading the boards for the first time and the quality of their work was exceptional.
Their work rate was phenomenal, we were delighted with what they produced in such a short amount of time, they were an absolute credit to themselves. We were very proud to perform at the Hill of the O'Neill, Ranfurly House.
We would like to thank Mid-Ulster Council for their support in producing this piece of work, without which it would not have been possible to deliver. We would also like to extend our thanks to the staff at Ranfurly House for accomodating us through the project.
